
REG BBC defeated UGB to secure a spot in the final, while Patriots BBC beat APR BBC in Game 3 of the Basketball Championship Playoff Semifinals.
These games were played on Wednesday at BK Arena. The first game saw REG BBC beating UGB with a score of 89 to 81. Since it was Game 3, the win secured REG BBC a place in the final.
The second match, which started at 8:30 PM, was the most anticipated.
The first quarter began with APR BBC’s player Youssoupha Ndoye performing impressively—he had already scored 9 points within the first four On the other side, Patriots BBC’s Putney Raphael Rashid closely followed him, matching his scoring, which kept both teams neck and neck in points.
APR BBC eventually pulled ahead and won the first quarter 22 to 18.
In the second quarter, Patriots BBC, led by players including Williams Isiah Rasheed, worked to close the gap and even took a 3-point lead.
However, in the final two minutes of the first half, APR BBC regained control and finished the half leading 37 to 33.
In the third quarter, Patriots BBC outperformed APR BBC thanks to contributions from Putney Raphael Rashid and Williams Isiah Rasheed. They ended the quarter with a 10-point lead, 52 to 42.
In the fourth and final quarter, APR BBC tried to close the gap through players like Diarra Aliou Fadiala. However, Patriots BBC was effective with their three-pointers and maintained the lead, ultimately winning the game 65 to 59.
Game 4 is scheduled for Friday at 7:00 PM at BK Arena.
